I LOVE the last 5 tackles on the last Japanese goal. The very last tackle on Kagawa in the box was a pure classic. I can't stop rewatching it. I also have to say that long pass to Kagawa before he ran inside the box, just prior flying in the air from a tackle, was amazing. 2nd goal by Qatar was perhaps the worst goal keeping ever on Japanese stopper. Great game with great tackling. I can't wait for Qatar 2022.

Oh and I'm an Arab who watched it from a neutral point of view. I wish Qatar all the best, but they simply didn't deserve to win. Japan was dominant, calm, looking much more like a team all that while the circumstances were not really on their side. Japan, I applaud you :)

Congrats to Japan they deserved into semifinal and the referee red card calls was valid. The Yoshida's tackle was clean until he purposely cock up his leg to stop Qatari player from running and it's excellent decision. I hope the final between Japan vs Australia.

Qatar's 1st goal was clearly not offside. Beautiful 1st goal by Japan unbelievable pass by Honda. Yoshida's first yellow card was a normal foul and he didn't deserve a yellow card. Now, his second yellow card shows how bad both the referee and the assistant referee are, because Ahmed clearly steps on Yoshida's knee which should've caused Yoshida an injury and not Ahmed. This led to Qatar's second undeserved goal. No objection by the Japanese, they remained calm, scored, won and deserved to win.

I can easily spot fouls by Qatar that weren't called by the refs...and they were RIGHT THERE!

@sojubung yes that's true, but the foul was for what he did afterwards, he lifted up his leg in a dangerous way that could have seriously hurt the qatar player. just watch it again. see how the japanese player (after he kicks the ball) lifts up his leg and sweeps behind the legs of the qatar player.

indeed no need to stop the game over a few fouls if Japan had possession
however i personally reckon that if those tackles were worthy of a card,
the ref should have pulled it out after the goal. no?
