Faribault is a city in Rice County, Minnesota. Faribault is approximately 50 miles south of Minneapolis–Saint Paul. Faribault is a historic city with a rich cultural heritage. The city was founded in 1851 by John Faribault, a French-Canadian fur trader. Faribault was an important stop on the Underground Railroad, and the city's first library was founded by abolitionists. Faribault is also home to the Faribault Woolen Mill, which was founded in 1865 and is one of the oldest continuously operating woolen mills in the United States

I recently found out my ancestor created Faribault, which is wild!!!! He created a city and his last name was Faribault.
