Daisy Ridley Builds A Lego Speeder Chaser (While Answering More Questions) Elle UK

"I think I've actually done pretty well too you guys!"

Two years ago, ELLE UK sat down with Daisy Ridley ahead of her second film in Star Wars' most recent trilogy. We chatted all things fame, working on a sequel, whether she had met co-star John Boyega's cat. Ridley, ever the good sport, did it all whilst assembling a Millennium Falcon out of lego.

So, as the trilogy draws to an end with the final film in the franchise, The Rise of Skywalker, we thought it would be fun to catch up with Ridley again, give her a new lego set to build (this time it's a Speeder Chaser) and find out what she's been up to - and whether she has any different outlooks in comparison to two years ago - since.

You can see how much she has changed. She seems so serious now. I understand why, but still she was way more sweet and happier two years ago. Lost the spark and innocence she had before.JMHO

I think she feels sad or angry when talking about star wars sometimes because of the haters, but she's a great actress and seems like a very cool person. And no one deserves hate for a character they play, it's just their job

I'm glad she got a nice paycheck and gets to move on. She seems less happy and more serious. The amount of unnecessary hate she must've gone through, I dont blame her for not being involved in any Social Media anymore. Still, I think she performed amazingly and really enjoyed watching the Sequel Trilogy.

She doesn't smile nearly as much in this one. And no, I'm not the guy saying, "women need to smile more." But...you can definitely tell a change in demeanor and enthusiasm between this one and the last one -- before everything went down. She tried...she and John and everyone else (cast wise) tried so hard. I don't doubt that. But she looks so soured on the experience. I legit feel for her.

Rey is Daisy’s most recognized role. The character will stay with her, for the rest of her career, as Luke has done with Mark.

Honestly, Ridley’s performance in the Trilogy actually made the films watchable alongside the other actors. She did such a great performance, I’d love to work on a film with her!

Also, she can build a Millennium Falcon in five minutes?! There’s no way that’s possible! You’d have to have Lego fingers like I do. Surely it must have taken an hour or two to put that together, but a smaller set like the Speeder Chase would likely take twenty minutes. (Trust me, I know, I build a lot of Lego sets) Would love to challenge a famous person who builds Lego a lot to a speed build. Results could be quite entertaining.
