PS4 Slim Fan Cleaning - Easier Than You Think!

I show an easy way to clean the fan on a PS4 Slim. It's much easier than on other models and you don't even have to remove a single screw or void your warranty.
To get to the fan on the PS4 Slim simply remove the top cover...once that's done you can use canned air or compressed air to clean all dust and debris out of the fan.

After doing this my ps4 slim went from a Saturn V Rocket, to me literally thinking something was wrong with the console considering how quite it got, I legit can play warzone now with just a slight small fan noise. Thank you my man, I've never cleaned the damn thing since the slim came out, so wow.

I was today years old when I found out that you could lift the top plastic!!!

I was so close to giving up and selling my PS4 for like 30 bucks. I could hop onto GTA and fly military jets with the sound off because it was more realistic and immersive that way.

I popped the cover open, checked the fan with a flashlight- wasn't as bad as i had hoped. i managed to unscrew all but one screw (i legit used kitchen knives) on the metal plate covering the fan area so i lifted/bent the metal part gently and the heatsink was filled with nasty dust and shit.

i carefully cleaned it with a brush and a can of compressed air from the opening i managed to create.

PS4's flight has finally landed, guys. it's literally as silent as the day i bought it.

It's not completely silent when I am rdr2, but it is so much better. Before this, I could hear the ps4 over the game with headphones on. Now I can barely hear it at all with them off. Thank you so much.

JUST A HEADS UP: I dont think there's a clip in the middle, or it at least doesn't come into play. THERE ARE HOWEVER clips on both sides of the cover at the middle. I discovered this when I slightly cracked the top cover, thinking the from clips would free it completely. So go slow and easy guys! Make sure to take care with those side clips. Still easy, just FYI.

My tip: Pull up on the side slightly as you're you're doing the front corners. Or try to do the side and corner at the same time. Either way, be gentle bending back the corner if the side is still fastened.

I’ve been looking for videos where they don’t take the top of the fan off cuz it was so hard, this really helped imma go get a straw now also my ps4 would turn off and sound really loud while I played fortnite and my best friend told me to watch videos of why it happens and when I first looked in the fan it’s so durty
