Too much water was being pumped out of my basement and it created a permanent wet area in the front yard. This video shows what I did to correct the problem.

Seriously - it looks great to me. I watched your downspout video and thought it was very, very good.... OK, it was excellent. I wondered about the pipe going away from the house, but it was perforated, so that answered that one... and you made holes in this pipe. Diffusing the water across a larger area makes perfect sense to me - and we are on acreage size property. We DO need to do something to solve the rapid water rush from the downspouts, they drill a pretty fast hole into the ground... and we cannot have that next to the house! (As you well know.)

I am considering a number of options, but putting something below ground level really does seem to be the best solution, because the house was built up a but, and all around the house, the water will be running down slope... your helpful videos provide direct and indirect options that I could use to either get the job done, or consider additional options I had not thought about without seeing your videos! Great work, another LIKE for your video!

Well, you avoided one problem and created another. As water is discharged across the length of the pipelines, you will have the problem with saturation which will eventually lead to the same issue you attempted to avoid. The pipeline needs to be direct deep into the group at last 2-3 meters with a diameter of the hole at least 30 cm. Fill in the hole with layers of biochar, stones and small rocks in interchangeable layers until the top. The discharge pipeline should be faced 90 degrees into h the hole. Fill the upper part of the hole with soil and compact it and plant something with high water demand. Just my opinion.
