We do the same with foreigners here in India. Even People from other state when come and take jobs, local people start becoming hostile. (between Speaking French means nothing, the issue is not language proficiency but the mess this whole thing has created in Canada)

I have to say, you have to feel for Canadians as well. Imagine how it would feel if someone else were staying in your home and acting like they own it. I don’t think the issue lies with immigrants (especially Indians) or Canadians. If anyone is to be held responsible, it’s the government, which needs to streamline the process for granting permanent residency. It’s natural for locals to feel concerned if jobs are increasingly going to immigrants.

I was at Ottawa for a couple of months, I thought something like this might happen. But, it was the exact opposite, people were too nice and accommodated me really well. I believe it could be a isolated incident, or maybe didn't stay long enough something like that happening.

Edit: I do believe Indian media takes these incidence and make a general statement about Canada. I see more Anti-Canada sentiment in India rather than Anti-India sentiment in Canada itself.

I don't agree with the hate Indians get, but I get the frustration people feel, try to understand that over 70% of immigrants to certain cities are Indian. In Southern Ontario, you barley see anyone who's not Indian, service workers are almost 90% Indian, so are drivers, security guards...they're everywhere. I'm sorry to say but the quality of most things they're involved with goes down significantly. I've witnessed this change first hand...I'm a person of color, not white and I'm not anti-immigration but immigration HAS to be balanced, or else Canada will turn into India...I have Indian friends and even they're not happy with this

Indians should come back to India and contribute to the nations growth here. This is getting serious now. There might be incidents of violence later on. Canada used to be the friendliest and most welcoming countries on Earth and if this can happen to that country then something is seriously wrong. Grow some sense Indians and don't blindly run after the dollar like this.

I think the current Canadian government is hugely responsible for this.
Canadians are basically very friendly and polite people. But Trudeau's broken immigration policies have resulted in hate crimes. You need to understand, the native Canadians cannot afford home, basic inflation is up and just being in the country has become extremely difficult. They are also against pro-Hamas gangs because they are harassing Christians and Jews there. Indians on the other hand, are in majority there. And with the Pro-Khalistan gangs, things are very very difficult here in Canada. With less jobs and more pricing issues, the Canadians are absolutely fed up with immigrants - mostly Indians who they think are an issue, and the second one is Trudeau, who is making this more complicated. On one hand he is blaming the Indian government for allegedly killing a terrorist like Nijjar, and then the Canadians are watching Khalistani mobs, counter protesting Indian mobs and moreover common Canadians struggling with basic everyday needs. Of course it will create this racism. I think Trudeau really f'd up the entire thing.
