I love how this video is just 30 minutes of the Cap complaining about bad business pratices with parkour in the background... and I just loved it 10/10

You can do a charge back. Tell the credit card company you canceled. But they have recurring charges still.

Sounds like Sparklez needs to have a nice long chat with the FCC. Preferably _before_ he spends half a grand on a lawyer.

I think you really should follow up on that case. There definitely are plenty of others who are being scammed. Some dont have the confidence nor money to sue them.

Is it just me or does that company sound a LOT like the way Adobe does stuff?

As a Parkour Town speedruner I agree that CaptainSparklez is in fact good at parkour.

Please sue them. You’ll be helping others when you win.

Been in that spot before where a company wouldn’t let me cancel. One threat of going to the better business bureau and it got canceled within the next 15 minutes

Oml, so if someone doesn't tip at the place Cap was talking about, that person still gets paid less bc they count as a "tipped" employee. In a state like AZ where minimum wage is higher then Federal, this is how businesses get around paying their employees. it's "not their fault" if you don't make tips to make up what you're supposed to be paid. And they can do this with pretty much any establishment. It doesn't have to be a place that serves food, it could be the people who changes your tires. You don't normally think the TIP jar is part of their RENT, but in a lot of states, it is. Tip culture is a plague on this country

Definitely agree that companies have gotten more bold in showing their true colors after the first few years of the pandemic. Not only has customer support gotten worse, but trust me when I say, employee treatment has especially gone out the window.

Folks, if you think you have a smidge of a chance and can do it within your means, perhaps a spooky threat of a lawsuit is a good idea.

Everything is in shambles. smh

Nowhere else on this platform can you find content quite like this. Everyone else doing Minecraft video's are over the top and hyper fixated on the game. But Jordan over here is just talking about life struggles. I love it

I usually tip 20% for good service, so in that situation I would just give an extra 2-3% and call it a day

Here's the thing about general surcharges (not the large group kind, though those are also thin ice) - they're not technically legal in a lot of places. Their purpose is to offset credit card processing fees and/or taxes. That's it. It's the business trying to get more money out of you so those costs don't come out of their 'profits'. The postcard song and dance is to make You feel bad rather than the business looking greedy. If you see a place with a "cash discount", it's the same thing. They're trying to get around credit card regulations.

Wow all of that seems immensely illegal
