NEW NURGLE WARSCROLLS: Great Unclean One / Rotigus Analysed: Warhammer Age of Sigmar

Welcome to my channel! This is a new series for me based around Warhammer: Age of Sigmar.

What do you guys think of the new Nurgle models?

In this video I talk about the new Warscrolls released for the Great Unclean One and Rotigus. I have done a quick comparison video to try and help you guys choose which version you might want to build and to roughly summarise what is new with the warscroll compared to the old version. This video is my attempt at doing a much quicker and more succinct comparison, as I know some of my old ones are rather long. I hope you prefer it this way, but naturally, it means that I give a slightly oversimplified look at these models! How they function on the table, in a much more complex environment can’t truly be reflected by this video. Anyway, I go over the different weapon options and the different abilities (both new and old).

(I’m about to start a pretty big career change and have been applying to it whilst making these videos so thanks for all your patience! This video is mostly for people who are new to Age of Sigmar and want to know more about getting started. I personally love AoS and hope that making videos like these gets more people into the hobby. Just remember to respect other people’s opinions. Anyway, stay awesome :)

I just got mine, on the back of the box it's like 16 different Citadel paints that are recommended for either the Great Unclean One or Rotigus.

Deluge of Nurgle is a little complicated, but it seems to work differently based on how many units are being targeted. If targeting one unit, then all successful rolls must target that one unit. If targeting multiple units, then each successful roll must target a different unit within range. 7:18

I’m not getting a Nurgle army, but I’m definitely buying a great unclean one to make a joke-y GUO assassin for display. (Rotigus head, sword & dagger)

I'm not sure how to build them. What I know for sure is that I don't want the head of the one in the middle and that I like a lot the maw in the belly and arm. I will probly build the first great unclean one with the maws of Rotigus and I will say it has whatever I want in each game. Where I play people have no problems with how you build your moddels. (I alrealy play the model of Kairos as a normal lord of change and no one ever told me anything about it because we all have an agreement that we like to build and paint the models as we like them more.)

Personally I will use it most of the time as a great unclean one because I want to use that commanda ability on my 40 plage monks unit (Yeah, it's the same than having a vermin lord but for all the nurgle units) and then I will cast the new nurgle spell that makes every +6 to wound in a unit to deal a mortal wound i addition to it's dmg. And since you like pestilens I guess you already know how sick it's a unit of plage monks when it commes to spam attacks. BTW? Don't you think this can be a little broken with untils with multiple attacks like Beasts of Nurgle, Plage drones or Plague monks? (These are probably the best options and I play to play 40 plague monks, 6 flys and 6 beasts of nurgle in 2000 matches. However just like you I preefer 1000 points. However my favourite it's 1500 since it gives you more room to do more awesome things but the game won't be as long as a 2000 points one.)

Deluge must be on different units, the confusing part is if there is only 1 unit Rotigus can see, you either pulp the unit or it gets poked only once.

I wish this guy was a bit cheaper in £'s - Nurgle is not one of my main armies so I can't really justify the expense for an "add on" unit. He looks really strong in 40k too - arguably stronger than he will be in AoS.

For Brackish Filth: You roll a die for each unit, as I understand rules like that you roll ONE dice for every unit in that range, going for a 4+, so you won't be putting three dice on one unit if there are three in range, it would be one die on each of the three units.
