Didn't alhaitham also say "we should have dinner now"(something along those lines) then literally kicked the TRAVELER out.. traveler the main character... Also at the end of the domain in his quest paimon kept insinuating on asking questions and he was like "no I'm busy things to do, see ya" we can clearly see he had absolutely nothing to do but have dinner with kaveh

Most people don’t realize the tight friendship between Alhaitham and Kaveh because of how weird the English localizations and voice acting are. In other languages they are not even nearly as harsh to each other and sound more like they’re 2 people who understand each other so well that they can afford friendly bantering and picking at each other. Alhaitham doesn’t like to bother himself with people he hates. If he truly hates Kaveh, he never would’ve let him passed the door let alone live in his house.

In short, even if there’s no romance involved, the shippers are more spot on than the EN localization team
