While I've never been to space, I've traveled TransPacific numerous times over a few decades. Although the views at 30, 000 to 40, 000 feet doesn't let you see the entire planet, the views are still remarkable. Over land, seeing entire cities from at such altitudes is so different from seeing them at ground level. It provides a completely different view from our common everyday experiences. I suppose it would be somewhat similar to seeing the Earth from deep space. It can change the way you see the planet and the way you see yourself and others.
