The voices of Hindutva - Hindu supremacy - are ascending, spreading division and hate speech. It has worked its way through the body politic like a slow-acting poison. And the effect on the secular fabric of the Indian republic and the lives of minorities - especially Muslims - has proven toxic, at times deadly.

There are 60K Zorastrians in India, only 2K in Iran, the country of their origin. There are very few places in the world like India which is an oasis for free thought and preservation of ancient heritage.

While you are right about Indian media, the same applies to you as well. The story represents the transgressions of one community whilst conveniently skipping the other.
The informal channels such as Whatsapp groups is full of hate, but across both communities.
The politicians are leveraging this hate.

These 'experts' should do a similar feature on Pakistan as well where Hindus, Christians, SIkhs and other minorities are brutally persecuted. This is evident from the ever decreasing population of such minorities in Pakistan, Bangladesh etc. whereas the Muslim population in India has registered and continues to record sharp growth and percentile increase.
