He could run better than anyone, and also throw better than anyone. The velocity and spin with which he threw the football is astonishing. The only thing that was stopping Vick from being one of the greatest running backs of all time was that he was already one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time

I said it the whole time. People would never appreciate what he was until long after he was done. He was the most naturally talented player in American Sports History. He fucked up, he owned up to it, served every single day of his sentence, didn't get off light at all, then spent the rest of his career and life trying his best to make a positive difference. This is an amazing role model to have, as long as you learn from his mistakes and understand what he has been trying to tell everyone since, that making those mistakes isn't inevitable and anyone can turn it back around. Truly was my favorite player of his time, along with Brett Favre and towards the end Adrian Peterson.
