Which reading does Dr White support in 1 Timothy 3:16? "Hos" or "theos"?

1 Timothy 3:16 in the King James Version reads: "God was manifest in the flesh, " referring to Jesus Christ. But most newer translations omit any reference to God and read, "He was manifest in the flesh" or "He who was revealed in the flesh." The discovery of older Greek manuscripts showed that the word "God" did not originally appear in this verse. Apparently, this corruption of the text was introduced to support the Trinity doctrine.

In answering the question posed by the poster of the video; It seems clear to me that Dr White believes that reading it as "God was manifest in the flesh..." is a preferable understanding but that the actual Greek text does not have that reading.
One can look at the different Greek texts as well as different English Renderings at:

I find it very curious that Dr. White seems to have forgotten what he wrote in BOTH editions of his book on this subject...

"There is much to be said in defending the KJV rendering of 1 Timothy 3:16 as "God was manifest in the flesh." In fact, I prefer this reading and feel it has sufficient support in the Greek manuscripts. I also can agree with the majority of the comments made on the topic long ago by Dean Burgon." —P, 261, The King James Only Controversy (2nd Edition), by James R. White

Actually the better translation truest to the earliest texts does not have 'God', but 'He who' or 'He is a later scribal error or interpolation, but this is a heavily debated subject. In any case, ....I see the verse speaking about Jesus, not 'God'. I see the textual evidence (earliest sources) support this view.

God is a title and not a name. The angels called their God, the Father. But because we should have no other gods before us, and Jesus brings us back to the Father, an exact representation of the Father, and because of John 10:35 and Palms 82:6-8, also 2 Corinthians 4:4-5, is what the capital G God owns. The small g gods. Also described in bright and morning star Revelation 22:16. And morning star. Revelation 2:28. But if you accept the forced trinity doctrine from Constantine at the first council of Nicea 325 after resurrection, you could be confused especially in the new English way of abusing words. WWIII is the War of the Word 👀👂🏿🦻🏻 and propaganda is spelt, pro pagan da 🤷‍♂️
Now read it 🤔
1 Timothy 3:16
Authorized (King James) Version
16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Read full chapter 🥰😇
