I’m not an australian nor a scott. I am nowhere near a personal friend of Jock’s. I am just one of the million fans who have watched him on Masterchef since he was first introduced as one of the new judges and yet here I am crying my eyes out and still unable to grasp the fact that he has already joined our Creator. 🥺 Chef Pierre White was definitely correct when he said that “to those who have watched MCA there’s a piece of Jock instilled in each one” that is so true and I can testify for it 🥺 rest in peace Jock 🥺 you will surely be missed 💔

Whenever a contestant was eliminated from the show, I loved it when Chef Jock sent them off with a hug, reminded them of their accomplishments while on the show, and proclaimed their name loudly, asking everyone to give up a round of applause for them as they left. He truly felt pain in his heart seeing them leave.

I"m Canadian. I only began watching MasterChef Australia when Jock, Andy, and Melissa joined. Jock was such a stand up man and class act. His compassion, kindness, empathy, and sense of humour always came through the screen like no other on screen personality. He was just so real and didn't pretend to be anything less. I have the utmost admiration for him. and he has been a positive influence on my life. I will never forget him. I don't think I've ever felt such profound sadness for someone I never met in my life.

Its really weird for me to shed tears for someone I don't even know personally, I mean I only watched him and the trio for only a few months not even a year, but I love him, I love watching him. Jock’s legacy will be the fact that Brent Draper won MadterChef 2023. The empathy and compassion shown to Brent by Jock in Brent’s first season stuck with me. The fact Brent did come back, and won, directly down to Jock. I’m so glad his final season was a complete representation of what Jock was about.
