Small Airport Stealth Camping

I found a perfect camping spot in the woods beside the runway of a small airport. It was a stormy night with lots of wind and a bit of rain. I hammock camped in the trees and had a blast. Fortunately there was an airport lounge for me to warm up and dry off in for a bit before I hunkered down for the night. The wind became an issue for cooking so I had sleep for dinner that night. Always great to go camping though!

Most youtubers hate when a plane goes by in the video, Steve is like nah I want it to be one of the main events. Haha I love his videos. He is my comfort youtuber.

Pilot here. The runway lights at small airports are actually controlled by the pilots. They set their radio to the tower (or CTAF if the field is untowered) frequency and key the mic several times. Typically it is 3 times for low intensity lighting, 5 times for moderate intensity, and 7 times for high intensity.

P.S. I loved all of the little aviation puns that you sprinkled in throughout the entire video. Made me feel right at home!
