Wyeth Bobcat Runs Free

Watch as we set free another one of our rehab bobcats. Wyeth was released back to the wild where she belongs after being brought in after being hit by a car. Thank you to Deputy Wyeth for rescuing this bobcat and bringing her to Big Cat Rescue!

There is no feeling more rewarding and satisfying then to release an animal who was first brought into you in a poor condition and with your love and care nursed back to full health . Knowing that now Wyeth can now roam free in a safe and natural environment and is able to go on one day and have a chance to reproduce and assure that the Bobcat species is kept well away from extinction and can be admired by future generations.

what a cutie! of course it easy to love cats. big cats too. my boy standard size house cat plenty fierce when he wants to be. he doesn't belong in wild though and I know these cars don't belong in homes or cages. same that others don't get the message. glad tough that you can be there for these magnificent creatures even if it means that they never had a chance to run free. safe healthy happy & comfortable next best thing. thanks for what you do.

Wyeth was and remains a very lucky girl - lucky she survived the accident that hurt her, lucky that Deputy Wyeth is an animal lover AND knew about BCR, lucky that BCR took such good care of her, and now, she is lucky to be back in the wild!

Wow she must have been nearly a blur in real time. When she sights prey she'll be on them before they can blink. Kudos to the Officer who risked serious injury to save her. I'm glad it was mentioned that in this case the cat was likely stunned so others won't think they should attempt the same action.
