You actually can do void* arithmetic as Jacob Sorber demonstrated in one of his videos. It basically acts as a byte* which makes sense since byte* has the smallest possible increment. But it's technically a bit ub.
The only hard rule is that you can never ever dereference a void* since void isn't a valid type in c/c++

But... With typecasting void pointer can have data type. So with spellcasting friend can find the cure to blindness or be bombed by Pyroblasts. I dont really know.
