Preservatives - Sodium Benzoate

A preservative is a substance that inhibits or slows down the deterioration of food, cosmetics, and other materials. Sodium benzoate is used in many foods (including drinks) as a preservative to stop bacteria from growing.

Sodium benzoate is a chemical preservative that has been approved by the FDA for use in food and is used in the United States, Europe, and Canada. It is a white solid that tastes very salty. Sodium benzoate is used to prevent spoilage, yeast growth, and the formation of mold. It can also be used to adjust acidity levels.

Sodium benzoate is a widely used preservative found in many foods and soft drinks. While it is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the FDA in small doses, sodium benzoate may cause harmful health effects under certain conditions.

On top of being used as a food preservative, sodium benzoate has other roles in food production. There are some side effects associated with taking in too much sodium benzoate from foods.

I was in pain for 7 years. I started focusing on God and begging Him to guide me in what I needed to do. When God speaks to me, it’s in the morning as I’m waking up. I was waking up one morning and I heard “sodium benzoate, sodium, benzoate, sodium benzoate”. Three times. Well, sometimes I forget what I hear or dream. Well I forgot. At around noon deep inside of my stomach I heard it again three times sodium benzoate. So I brought it up on my phone. It says it’s a preservative that is thought to not be harmful. Then I got up and went to my refrigerator and saw how many things it was in. I had some juice that was supposed to be for Health that I had paid $50 a bottle for I looked at that and that had it in it. I was just amazed. So if I had to put money on it, I would say sodium benzoate is very harmful. I immediately cut back on consuming it and in 2020 my back pain went away, and I have not been in pain since.

I found I had been consuming to much Sodium Benzoate, from shampoo, conditioner, Listerine mouth wash, foods, etc…. Causes me to have cradle cap, rash on face, and worsts was a chronic cough. The amount of to products with Sodium Benzoate is easily over consumed or applied topically.
