Siri Shortcuts. One of the biggest, nerdiest, and most awesome updates to iOS 14, iPadOS 14, and #watchOS7 this year, and… they barely got any attention at the WWDC 2020 keynote.

But… I can fix that! Joining me for this video is Matthew Cassinelli, who, long story short, was one of the original members of the Workflow team, brought into Apple, but who left just before they became Shortcuts, so he could share his expertise with all of the rest of us on the outside

I think the old shortcuts widget design was better because it allowed you to have a more compact view and fit more shortcuts into a smaller space on the screen.

I made a shortcut I’m very proud of. In economy class we had to download the weekly report of the central bank of my country. It was so boring to go to the webpage every week and look for the link. So I made a shortcut that downloaded the latest report. It did so by calculating the last Friday. It was super handy and sometimes still use it.

I’ve created a mute for apple tv that’s timed. After a certain period of blocking commercials; it bounces back to the station. Or my weather will open ; then after reading the weather; will open radar. Or a favorite TV show will switch on like the evening news at 6:30. Day of the week is announced every few hours as is the time . Love it.

I have watched your video on shortcuts and am not tech-savvy. I was wondering If I could get advice. I have upgraded my hearing aids to a Bluetooth version and every time I get any kind of notification they drop off the app I have for my laptop. I then have to take several steps to get back to access them again. The steps I have to go through are tap on the app(I don't know if I should identify the company), tap on home, step through setting to find one for the PC, select it, and go back to work/zoom. Any help? Thanks. The app is on both my phone and Ipad.
