I've heard children laughing biking the way to work at 4 am often in the woods by my house. I even heard them call me by name a couple times and heard help me mister. I just ignore and bike faster... I am good on that fam.

I experienced something like this while delivering for doordash. I took an order to a residence that I deliver to frequently and when I pulled in the driveway there were 2 children 2 houses down in the middle of the front yard that were walking in my direction. The woman whom I was delivering to yelled out her front door for me to get back in my car and lock the doors and not to speak to or look at the kids, she sounded panicked so I did what she said. Once I was in my car she called my cel phone and told me to meet her at a parking lot about a mile away. When she got there she told me that they just showed up about 4 days ago and no one knows who they and there are no new families in the neighborhood. They have been in the same clothes as if they dont have a home but every time someone calls the police they are nowhere to be found when the police arrive. She said she was doing dishes one evening and had her kitchen window open just a crack to let some cool air in and all of a sudden had an overwhelming nauseous feeling and thought she was overheated so when she reached up to open the window a bit more the girl was standing right there on her back deck staring right in at her and she could see that her eyes were solid glassy black. Also she said that since they showed up the whole neighborhood has been sick with what they thought was a stomach virus but after feeling what happened when one was so close to her she now thinks it was them making everyone sick. She said that they have knocked on everyones front and back doors asking for help and when they offer to call the police to help they insisted on just coming in that all they need is to just get warmed up and to make a phone call and would prefer to not get the police involved bc they are not lost or in danger. I've delivered to her several times since that happened about 3 weeks ago but the one time i mentioned it she shut the door on me. Not sure why she doesn't want to talk about it now when she was so freely talking about it when it was happening. Id love to know more but I dont know how to get her to tell me.
