First national consultation on environment and climate within 'Stockholm +50' international meeting

In preparation for Stockholm+50 international meeting, a number of national consultations are being held and organized by UNDP Uzbekistan in cooperation with national and international partners.

The objective of the national consultations is to stimulate an inclusive whole-of-society and whole-of-government dialogue on the main themes of Stockhom+50. The country is given the opportunity to express its position and bring the environmental issues of Uzbekistan to the international level, present the achievements and directions of state measures to ensure the conservation of nature, its resources, as well as the contribution to climate change mitigation. The results of the national consultations will shape the prospects for national development programs as an input to the international meeting.
