You are right. Lost keys, broken hinges, cracked screens, broken audio ports, I am retiring in June. I've taught in a computer lab most of my career. I fought like hell to prevent admin from replacing my PCs with Chromebooks. I was the last holdout and I made so much noise about it they didn't take my computers. When I go, I'm certain they will shut down the lab and it will be McDonald's ice cream machines time... So

Amen! Our school just took ours all away! We have nothing for the students. Apparently, our new district computer system does not support them and cannot guarantee security walls for our students

K8 Head Custodian & Resident Nerd: These resemble a Laptop. WHEN they fail catastrophically, not even worth leveling a Student Desk. At least 20 a week [out of 400] get picked up by IT AFTER the Secretaries & I fix the obvious problems.
