1978 is the year I met my wife. Much older now, but still in love, still married. These songs remind me of the times when we dated. Been married over 41 years now, praise God!

My husband and I used Magnet and Steel as our first dance at our wedding in 2001.

In 1978, I graduated from the 8th grade and was leaving elementary school and going off to high school. Of the 76 8th graders, only 10 followed me to the same high school. Bittersweet to say goodbye to so many friends.

Every time I hear Hot Child in the City, I think of my little sister. At that time she was living in town with our mom, and she was running wild at about 15😂yrs old.

I was 8 in 1978... the songs from the 70s are forever embedded in my mind, they remind me of driving to and from school or gymnastics, girl scouts, the jersey shore, whatever, with my parents.. so many great songs came out of the 70s, and sadly they are fading away because no one listens to the radio anymore and the hits of the 80s are now the oldies. Lol. Thank you for this memory lane although I don't know a few of them it was fun just to watch their outfits.😅

We hear too much narration and not enough music.

How about more singing and less talking. I can barely recognize the songs from these 2 second clips

Oh, 'Get off, ' all this time I thought they were saying 'Get up.' Hahahaha, a misheard lyric for me. LoL! Thanks for the memories.

I started high school in the fall of 1969. I earned my grad degree in the spring of 1979. In other words, I was in school for nearly the entire decade. I did a lot of listening to the radio, playing records and cassettes, and dancing at high school parties, discos, bars, and nightclubs. It was fun!

The 1970's was a sublime time era and a great time to be alive. I remember listening to one new song after another and they were almost all great. So were many of the movies and TV shows of the time.

I was living in Germany in 1978…Hot Child in the City played near constantly, but I always thought Nick Gilder was a woman.

That was cool seeing King Tut by Martin. I flew to New Orleans to view the Tut exhibit in Dec. 1978 just before I enlisted in the Navy.
