Definitely using the Essentials workspace from now on!

Glad to see you've gone with our own general workspace for your Essentials layout😉 A cool tip to keep tidy is to stack and solo the panels in the Panel Group Settings for the upper right panel.

Those are all near identical layouts as what I've been using for years. Glad you caught up Adobe! Haha!

If I want to import a workspace to a new computer, how do I do it. except how to copy to the folder where the presets of the workspace lie, and when you copy them there and then apply them in a new place, then the location of the windows is still the same as on the old desktop computer??

Am I wrong Adobe? But I find the Essentials Workspace is effectively useless for editing. Sure if you take your mouse and drag your selected clip from the Source to the time line it works OK? but no one works that way, any regular editor uses shortcuts to drop the clip from the source to the timeline.. i.e. the comma ", " key.

When you use shortcuts, which is by far the most common way of editing, this is the most jarring unpleasant workspace. The source view jump to the Programme view after each press on the ", " so when you are trying to flow edit, you have to constantly reselect the clip between each insert.. This is about as dumb a solution as possible, it should stay in the source view so you can carry on with your editing.. Please fix this RSI nightmare Adobe, the essentials workspace has such potential but not as it currently reacts..

Thanks for the video

It's such a childishly cute, as well as apocalyptically foreboding, move for Adobe to pull a classic Apple Final Cut X move glamming laptop users in coffee shops who waste hours doing "pro" editing work on tiny screens. New workspaces don't justify a version update that incurs time and bandwidth downloading gigabytes for something that's a matter of kilobytes. Does Microsoft push out a new version of Word when they add a template?
