1. Buy a good cooler. 2 Set PBO curve -30 on all cores. Done. No other way will make the 5800X3D boost to 4450MHz under load on all cores.

Just to remind everyone. If you are clearing the CMOS by jumping the battery pins YOU MUST make sure the system is not powered on. Unplug everything and even hit the power button after all of the cables are unplugged to make sure the capacitors have been fully drained.

Just a disclaimer for those checking this video out. -30 is only stable on the best binned silicon. I ran into issues/grey screen crashes at -30 so I dropped down to -25 all cores and things have been stable under load and at idle/browsing

i replaced a 3800xt which ran great itself and i was impressed with the perfomance gain of the 5800x3d, for me games that were runing 60esh fps went up to 90, 100esh fps

It would be good to update this with the info on PBO2. With a 240mm AIO, with stock settings temps rocketed to 90C under load and cores don't reach 4450 Mhz. with PBO2 CO's all at -30, temps were 72C and all cores hit 4450 Mhz. That makes it pretty much a requirement

The Jumper reset did the trick and I was boosting. Thanks.

I love you so much. On VALORANT, I was getting around 400 in the training arena and now I get 1000 or high 900. In games I'd get 300 and even it would drop to 200 at times, now I get a solid 600-700 constant. The main wow factor here was updating the BIOS because mine was outdated, I think from 2019? Thank you so much.

2:57 for clearing CMOS it's just easier to remove the battery and then return it after around 10 seconds, just to not mess around which pin is for clearing CMOS

Mine is stuck on 3.4 always. I tried all the updates now I gotta try to clear CMOS.

You have to undervolt that cpu in my opinion. I was hitting the temperature cap on a closed loop water cooler in cinebench then i applied an undervolt of 0.131v and it stays under 80 now. Made a huge difference in my case. Very nice cpu but not beginner friendly :)

With PBO and a 240 water cooler, it is no more than 65°C fully loaded and usually 38-40°C idling

How did it go with Microsoft Flight Simulator in this test?

I raised mine to 4.1 ghz and -0.05 curve and in games it does not exceed 60 degrees. For cooling I use be quiet! dark rock 4, 85% speed at 50 degrees. It works like a charm.

Just upgraded my 5600x to a 5800x3d. Noticed I was stuck at the base clock 3.39GHz. updated UEFI now its max boost is 4.28GHz. Can't reach the 4.5GHz.

I have an ASUS X570 Gaming E motherboard and I have just installed a 5800x3d. It won’t boost past 3.4 ghz. I tried to install new chipset drivers via AMD, but the installation always fails. Not sure what to do now.
