I'm from the South but moved to Califorina about 15 years ago. A lot of Southern food is the best food on earth. It will also lead to diabetes and a heart conditon but, hey, when you're young it's good stuff, lol. Every Sunday everyone's at Grandma's house eating lunch. People talking over each other and watching The Andy Griffith Show. The "dirty South" might not be something she goes around repeating to folks while's she's visiting there. Just a thought. I know what people think of the South and a good amount of it is true but not all of it. For example, NC has some of the best universites in the world, actually, like Chapel HIll. I have an MA and likely know more about computer tech and a great many other things than some of the folks in NYC, a city I love a lot BTW and almost moved there. Lets just chill on making assumptions and learn to appreciate some of the more innocent things about each other's cultural likes, like good food and our loving grandma, or grandmother or grand-ma-ma.
