"The Digital Lens Optimizer (DLO) feature corrects various optical aberrations, distortions, and other causes of image quality deterioration such as the low-pass filter effect. In doing so, it plays a significant role in ensuring that images are of utmost quality"

It is advanced lens correction. My guess is that it is really taxing the Digic processor and bandwith. Probably it goes something like this:
➡Buffer➡DLO Processing➡Card
The camera dont have the processing power to DLO process, write and refill the buffer at the same time but can if you remove DLO processing

If you shoot RAW, you can apply those in DDP4 or LR anyway. Unless you shoot JPEG only(you want those DLO profile baked in), turn DLO off for RAW buffer performance.

The R8 is a entry level camera and even though it is is a aps-c the R7 is a pro camera

I Found a different issue.
It won’t take a picture if is a 3rd party manual lens, the camera will freeze, I have the r6 and that one doesn’t do that.

The only problem I'm having with the R8 is it's beginning to show the overheating gauge even when I'm just taking pictures for a little while outside. With a v90 card and tapping and Feathering the shutter using highplus bursts and shooting and see rall I don't ever hit the buffer and I never have to wait. Are you shooting 50 shots at a time or more in rapid succession? I almost never have any reason to shoot any subject with that many shots, even a bird in flight.

A) why did you not show an *after* shot of it working as intended when that setting is turned off?

B) You don't need to turn it off. There is Disable, standard, and high. Switching the setting to standard would still take advantage of the extra processing, but not nuke the buffer or writing speed.

C) Stop comparing it to the R7, because the R7 has the exact same setting, and will perform the same way if DLO is turned on the high setting as well.

Quick review on the few videos I've seen from you, decent production level, but I think more research and planning needs to go into the content of the videos.

The R8 is a low end Full frame the R7 is a high end aps-c that is a major difference
