Wild feral hogs can cause significant destruction to agricultural crops, natural habitats, and even residential areas. Here are some examples of the types of damage that they can cause:

Agricultural damage: Feral hogs can cause damage to crops such as corn, soybeans, peanuts, and wheat. They may uproot plants or eat them entirely, causing significant losses to farmers and ranchers.

Ecological damage: Feral hogs can cause ecological damage by rooting up the ground and destroying vegetation. This can result in erosion and the loss of plant and animal species in affected areas.

Property damage: Feral hogs can cause damage to residential properties by rooting up lawns, gardens, and landscaping. They may also damage structures such as fences and buildings.

Disease transmission: Feral hogs can carry and transmit diseases such as brucellosis, leptospirosis, and swine flu to other animals and humans.

Overall, the destructive impact of feral hogs on both natural and agricultural ecosystems has led to widespread efforts to control their population through trapping, hunting, and other management practices.

If deer hunters would fence off their feeders the hogs wouldn't get any but the deer can jump over and in. That's what we do.
