Review Rotel RA 1572

I'm from '80 and I like the remote and the amp's front even more. It's classic, plain but not poor. It's more like modernistic simplicity. It's the style that won't turn outdated. Look at the Rotel amps from 80/90ties, they still look good. Ok, maybe just to me.

by far the most bang for the buck for a class AB amp, don't know how What-Hi-fi came to their conclusion. I paired this amp with Elac Debut B6 speakers, have to say it sounds more beefy than my friends LS50W setup and $1000 CAD less, although the clean tidy nature of the Kef active speaker option is appealing.

On a Peachtree 300. I had for a few days it was running hot, so I played it
Safe and returned it. The was actually nice but not great. I wouldn't say it's better then the Rotel ra-1572mkll in terms of soundstage,
But it does look nicer.

pretty cool feature, that a/b switch idea. thought, at first, the top of the unit had a shelf for the 'mote.

I have Canton Gle 490.2 speakers, should i buy this Rotel Ra 1572 or look for a Marantz? The reciver i have now is a Marantz sr5009.

Interestingly, What-Hi-fi quite dissed the sound quality of this Rotel. Did not have the chance to audition it myself unfortunately.

I have the RA 1592 and the remote is twice as big as the 1572 one. :)

Yes the remote is absolute rubbish, practically unusable
