The Color of Champion Bede: Carrying 34 Low Tier Pairs Across 2000pts Champion Stadium | PMEX
Показать описание
This is a project I've been working on throughout the month code-named "the Bede giga video." I'm sooo excited to finally share it. The concept is simple: Champion Bede can anchor any lineup you can imagine. Bede's party-wide buffs and increments are truly remarkable. He lets you store multiple bombs and explode foes in completely fluid rotations. However one thing is making a claim and another is proving it, so I took Bede on a Champion Stadium tour with relatively mediocre units to see how well he improves them.
I think this serves as a summary of what DeNA did to help low tier units this past year through grid expansions. I wish DeNA would've pushed 2.5k Master Mode before I decided to compile this, but Bede's banner only lasts for so long.
Given the gargantuan undertaking that is showing 17 clears I took some creative liberties for the sake of pacing in with the video. I didn't show parameters but in most cases I ran some that wouldn't boost my output, with the sole exception of Rock-weak Alder because his innate parameter wouldn't let me. I was going to show a Normal clear with Whitney and Striker Kangaskhan but there isn't much point. Also, for the sake of brevity, I'll only expand on the most important aspect I recall from each lineup.
[0:00] - Opal in shambles
[0:12] - Fire
I tried Flint to capitalize from Bede's mixed stacks but I could make a better showcase with unboosted Silver. I went with Event Blue because his DPS is better for Bede's playstyle. The Turn 2 denial demanded a lot of gauge, so I gave Blaine Quick Tempo.
[1:52] - Water
My first draft ran Cyrus but Bede's enabling capabilities are better shown with OG Misty. Tech Gyarados can also output good damage thanks to Bede. Note Bede's innate Head Start 1 lets you pseudo-ramp with successful staggers.
[3:23] - Grass
I showed this on my first Bede video but here I'm going for a more aggressive rotation where I denial at every opportunity.
[4:55] - Electric
BP Sophocles can play for Iron Defense Mighty Affliction 2 which is perfect for peepee stacking. After Sophocles clears center Hau helps out with the buffs he retained.
[6:22] - Psychic
Instead of going for the 6*EX Giovanni cheese I went with raw DPS to display Bede's own offensive output. Bede can also enable Confusion Synergy and Foul Fighting with Confusion Aggravation 9.
[7:46] - Ice
I was in the mood for Freeze Synergy 16 Pryce. Ghetsis remains as his best enabler because none of the F2P grids DeNA released can overcome Glaciate Cold Snap 2.
[9:05] - Dragon
I wanted to show OG Zinnia because she is a great recipient for mixed peepee stacks. Zinnia can play in any weather so I went with BP Candice because she has the best neutral DPS amongst F2P weather setters.
[10:47] - Dark
We are entering the weaker types now. BP Karen can delete center in one Double-Edge but she cannot survive the recoil. That leaves Bite Nanu as the next best F2P Dark-type DPS to clear the sides, discounting Striker Alolan-Persian. I went with a 2nd sync clear instead. This lets me show how Nanu can retain Sure Crit and SE Next with Screech.
[12:42] - Fairy
F2P Fairy options are very limited. Mina can set-up Power Posture while Bede buffs, but I copied some Acc buffs to counter Marshal's Agile Entry 2.
[14:18] - Fighting
Bede's buffing profile is excellent for vampires. Marshal can fish for Gritty 5 on this stage. Bruno has better Theme Skill cohesion than Korrina here.
[15:50] - Flying
By far and away the most complex set-up in this video. This would be a lot easier with OG Blue or Dragon Ascent Zinnia, but I wanted to clear the notion that Kahili's DPS is bad. No silly, you just never tried out Burn Synergy 5. This comes with a side of Foul Fighting 3 Winona.
[17:33] - Poison
Lucy can retain SMUN while spreading multipliers with her physical moves. Roxie normally hits harder than this but Poison-weak Marshal has naturally high Def.
[19:11] - Ground
What's funny about Clay and Hapu is that their kits only lets them buff their awkward multipliers, so with Bede covering actual important stats they can dish out good damage.
[20:43] - Rock
Roark is really funny now. I went with overkill, although Roark can grid more sustain. Tech Onix has to land a Rock Throw to lower the amount of recoil Roark undergoes.
[22:23] - Bug
Similar situation to the Dark lineup. F2P Bug-type DPS isn't chunky enough for brrrrr-ing, so I went with second sync. Good opportunity to show a Super Victory chain though.
[24:21] - Ghost
Agatha's consistent crowd control lets me play with aggressive options. The Sleep spam lets her retain peepee stacks for a coup de grace.
[25:51] - Steel
Wikstrom works about as well as Striker Perrserker, but I wanted to be cute showing mixed Strikers.
