Reading these comments proves to be very interesting, and in fact, funny. I don't know of any muscle cars being over 4000lbs... a Chevelle SS 454 LS6 with a Muncie M22 is about as heavy as they get and only weighs about 3800.. check your facts. Also, regarding power to weight ratios, last time I checked, 450 hp in a 3800 lb car is a hell of a lot better than a 2800 lb car with 105 hp... ricers, please learn your shit... Oh and one more thing, a 400hp I-4 gets about 10 mpg, same as a 7.4L V8

I love how every single rice boy uses the argument " that because muscle cars are mean for straight lines not cornering" please educate me because I'm confused. I thought the viper ACR, ZR1 corvette, 2014 z28, 2013 gt500, ZL1 camaro. All had top times at the nurburgring. Now how does that make them made for straight lines? That and how are imports better at handling? With more than half being FWD or AWD how can they handle so much better than a muscle car with all that under steer? Never understood where you silly ricers get your logic.

Most 4-cylinders have 4 valves per cylinder right? and most old american V8s have 2 valves per cylinder right? so an old V8 would have 16 valves total, which is just as many valves as a modern 4-cylinder correct?(just saying whats on my mind)

2nd is pretty normal from what I've seen, but it's gotta be decently sweet to chirp 3rd haha. You are right, that fact that you don't have any 500hp means that the driveline is almost not a factor. I like RWD because the way it can kind of be steered with the throttle as well as the wheel. By the way, I want to say that's it's great to have a civil discussion with someone who uses facts to say what they need to. It's nice to have a mature discussion over the internet. Exactly. I agree with you 100% that there is no replacement for displacement. The volume of air and fuel used per revolution is directly related to the engines power output. You can start off from something a a simple gas law to find that a 2 liter turbo civic at 25 psi is already displacing more air per revolution than your average 454 BB. If forced induction wasn't the new displacement then look at HPE or Nelson. Displacement is no longer just the bore and stroke.
