DCS: Normandy 1944 Map - Flanker Over Normandy

One of my favorite things to do over the Normandy map is fly low and fast. With the massive amount of ground detail, you get a great sense of speed.

This looks amazing! Like all flight sims, even DCS has been guilty of not offering a real sense of speed without distorting the fov. Not so in this video! Beautiful.

both the nevada and normandy maps are more fluent than the old map. good job

Beautiful. I can't help but feel that the primary limitation with DCS though is the lack of aircraft for any particular period. There might be a market for a pack of simpler, Flaming Cliffs level aircraft to round things out, P38, Mosquito, Typhoon etc. Maybe a 110 for the Germans. That would take the fight to Il2.

It will be hell to visualy navigate across the Normandy map. From the treetop height whole map looks the same - flat land, fields and trees :)

Looking very, very good. I was thinking about the time period this map portrays. I was thinking that if ED put together some Russian WW2 assets pack, then put them against American WW2 assets pack which you already have, you then have the basic ground units for a pretend war during the Korean War period. DCS already has the superb Mig-15bis and the Sabre. Map would work perfectly for a European war during Korean War period.

The water to me always had some missing element. Very slight. Maybe too blue or something. No longer. It really stands out as better in this video.
