There were literally some Capitol police who were blatantly complicit (not all, but rather a small fraction of the many many who showed up to protect the Capitol that day). Like literally caught on video helping rioters get past barricades. It's part of the reason that the Capitol police at large were overwhelmed: the barricades were expected to last quite a while longer, but barricades are ineffective when a small group on the inside just let's people through.

Yes. Most of the repub party was complicit. They stained their own honor by not keeping the capitol secure while under direct threats. They knew what was going to happen.

You can criticise him for the lie as much as you like but blaming him for the violence of others is ridiculous. Many politicians have told lies that can be said to havr roused others to violence including Harris and Warren. You wanna hold them to the same standards?
