Bobby East - USAC Silver Crown - June 29, 2013 - Pikes Peak International Raceway

Bobby East of Brownsburg, Ind. won the 100-mile "Rocky Mountain Classic" TRAXXAS USAC Silver Crown Championship race at Pikes Peak International Raceway on June 29, 2013. East passed Brian Tyler on lap 26 and held off a late-race challenge from Jerry Coons Jr. to post the victory over Coons, Tracy Hines, Tyler and fast qualifier Kody Swanson, who qualified at 141.188 mph. Hines led the first four laps and Tyler led the next 21 before yielding to East.

Moved to Colorado Springs in 98' and that was the place to be. To Bad France Family has a Monopoly on where the Nascar races go. They Fkd it up trying to build in Denver before the economy took a dump. If PPIR was still racing Busch, IRL, trucks there would be a huge turn-out with the influx of troops Ft, Carson has had in the past 10 years.

It's a shame that NASCAR does not go to PPIR anymore. Great little track that made for some interesting races back in the day. I know that until PPIR gets SAFER Barriers installed, the chances of NASCAR coming back are non-existent.
