FIXED! Mafia 2 Definitive Edition Chapter 11 warn Leo broken gate

In 30 years of gaming, this is a first: this mission ALONE ruined the entire game for me. Congrats, i didnt think anyone could fuck up this bad

And when you manage to open the gate, another glitch happens when just before you get to open the door, the door and the entire house disappear

When your in this mission you have to pop out the game and then shut the game off. Then restart the game and then play this mission, it will work 🙌

For some reason some brainlet decided to leave a invisible barrier at the gate I even shot at it and it fell over but I still couldn’t go in and no they haven’t done a patch to fix it the definitive edition is pretty broken on it’s on to be fair shame it was pretty well done too

When I did this mission I could drive through the gate but the stairs glitched out of existence and you can enter the house but it doesn't trigger the cutscene so you just fail the mission

I heard this game has so many bugs that break it but all I did was ram the gate with a car at full speed. It flew right off and I dashed straight through the door afterwards

On hard your way is not doable, the car is too slow to even reach the gate, let alone run away, come back, open it AND get to the house. I tried driving through the gate, opening it with square or with circle. Nothing works. Would be stupid to not get platinum because of this :-(.

Replaying this game and vaguely remember the gate problem but it actually opened fine for me, but what was glitched was as I got close to the house, the whole front of the house disappeared, including the door. So I could get in but I couldnt open the door to trigger the cut scene. I tried a few times then saw this video reminding me to restart the application and it worked. So far this is the only glitch I've ran into, some screen stuff happened at times but just momentarily

Not the bug I'm encountering. The whole front of Leo's house disappears when I run up to it, so I can't interact with his front door.

Be nice if this worked. Tried a dozen times and nothing gets past that stupid barrier. Deleted the game and will never touch it again

Still happens, 2023 on PS5. Kill the game off, launch it again and retry. It worls.

God this pissed me off!

Somewhat resolved:
As of March 3, 2024 on PS5 I had the same issue(s):
1.) Gate now being able to be rammed through with a car
2.) Not being able to manually open the gate (stepping outside of the vehicle and pressing square on PS5)

Resolution:
Quitting application > Relaunching the game > Resuming the campaign at the checkpoint > Driving there > Parking in the street in front of Leo's gate > Running up to the gate > Manually opening the gate with Square button.

p.s. I read on a forum to make sure to not drive on the grass close to Leo's house-- so I specifically stayed on the road during the S turn winding road + the street that you take a right on to get to Leo's (instead of cutting through the grass park).
