How to use SJCam as a Webcam

Hey SJcam owner! Today I'm gonna show how to use it a webcam for your PC. Please follow me in this video!

for those having the problem where the camera connects to USB, then immediately turns off, make sure to set the camera to "Car mode" before plugging in, so that it will accept charge whilst outputting data.

For Windows PC (These steps works for me):
1. Remove SD card from your SJ4000.
2. Plug in USB cable, connecting both your SJ4000 and PC.
3. SJ4000 will turn on automatically, and the options of "Mass storage" and "PC Camera" will be displayed.
4. Choose "PC Camera" so that SJ4000 will act as a webcam.

Just like that. No special software needed, it seems.
I made a mistake, buying HERO7. So glad I can undo that and return it. It has better camera, but it won't work as a webcam on its own, the software is mobile-only (with the only existing PC/Mac application already obsolete/legacy) and the forums are a desperate place. I think GoPro is good hardware, but I got disenchanted really quickly by the rest.
Now I have SJCAM SJ4000 Plus ordered. An older model, but with a nice discount it doesn't cost that much more than a simple webcam would (with the price hike due to the pandemic).

Does this work as well on windows 7 pro 64 bit? My dad needs a webcam and i just upgrading my action cam for xmas. If works maybe dad can have my old action camera. Only does 15fps at 1080p isvy i upgrading. Think i paid like 15$ for it. Be nice to not justbket sit there once my 4k 60fps cam arrives

I had a problem following my Sjcam sj4000 Air - after about a minute of direct use, the camera had to indicate again that I wanted to use it as a PC camera.
Now the problem was solved except for the battery. In this way, the camera can be used for live broadcast through OBS software.

Can you please record some footage with this camera AS A WEBCAM, ... *in various levels of light?* Bright, medium and near-dark? I'd like to see how it handles good light, ok light and poor light *while it's working as a webcam*, .. thanks. :)

I connected my sj4000 as webcam but i cannot record sound with it while capturing.
Do you have any advise?
