Being a taxi driver in Bangor Maine, I warn you that if the cruise ships are anchored, Bar Harbor is going to be ridiculously crowded. Boothbay Harbor, Camden, Damariscotta Point, Stonington, Blue Hill, etc. will be just as nice. Book your taxis as far in advance as you can since it gets really busy in the summer.

I got nervous when I saw this title. I was worried our town was on here but it didn't make the cut. Thank you! We're keeping it to ourselves.

If you're wealthy, these places are perfect. If you're middle class, bugger off. Which is why these places are still nice.

Lived in Sandpoint, Idaho for 15 years. So beautiful! Loved it, but the snow got to be too much to deal with on my own after my husband passed away.

I lived in western WA for 30 years. Back in the 70s, Anacortes was mainly a run down fishing town. It also was where the ferry terminal out to the San Juan Islands was (still is) located. Back then, you could drive up to the ferry terminal and get on a ferry pretty easily. These days, good luck if you don’t have a reservation. And, for the record, it Whidbey not Whimbley. South Whidbey is one of the most beautiful places. Langley is a quaint little waterfront town. South Whidbey State Park is incredible. You have views across the water to the Olympic Mountains.

Gig Harbor Washington is certainly charming. It's bloody expensive too. Homes averaging around a million dollars. Nice place to visit.

Don't forget that the Lt. Dan Band plays every year at the Beaufort Water Festival. He's got new legs!

I might go to Mystic next month. Why not. I've been to the Mystic Aquarium when I was a kid. I should visit it again.

Living in WA for 3 years, I loved visiting Gig Harbor. So relaxed and pretty. Thanks for bringing me back down to earth with that average home price!

Hey, Briggs. I know you included a couple of Great Lakes towns. But have you ever done a video exclusively dealing with this area? I've lived in Minnesota, Wisconsin and the U.P. of Michigan on Lake Superior. You should consider towns like Grand Marais, MN, Bayfield, WI and Grand Marais, MI. Just a thought from a former Air Force Captain.

Good presentation but you missed one, Annapolis, Maryland. Sure, it's home to the Naval Academy but the little bayside town next to it is amazing, quaint shops, great harbor and fish market. Oh, and the restaurants are wonderful.

New York has some wonderful lakeside towns and villages. Skaneateles, Lake George, Lake Placid. The whole Adirondack Mountains area has some really quaint places. The Fingerlakes region has the wine trail which is beautiful and fun to explore.

Excellent choices for this video! I was impressed. I know the Eastern seaboard extremely well, the Great Lakes some, and the Pacific Coast a wee bit. Great job on this video.

My family discovered Southport, NC some years ago. We vacation in Oak Island, NC each year in the spring and never fail to visit Southport. It is such a beautiful, friendly place.

Manistee, Michigan is a good one to check out. There’s a historic downtown, riverwalk, and a couple of beaches one of which was ranked as the best beach in Michigan.
