'Baby Drifter' - Blender Car Animation Short

Do you remember the 180 in-out drift from "Baby Driver"?? The coolest stunt in the film IMO.

- But for some reason they decided to do the stunt in an empty alley and with a dumpster truck.

I think that deserves a little remake! :)

I am only getting started with Blender (still at the cube phase 😅), so for me, seeing videos like these are a huge inspiration!

We only see a 30 second scene, but I am sure this took hours - if not days - of work... and years of devotion to get to this stage. Fantastic Video!

Hey man,
really impressed by this one.

In most car animations I usually find some disturbing mistakes or imperfections at first glance. Not here.

As I've read in the comments that you're open for critique, here's what I like to complain about after watching this for 5 to 10 times ;-)
(now 20 times)

1. People walking by @ 0:19. For sure nobody will go after business as usual when the most exiting car chase is happening right in front of their eyes. The dude at 0:06 is done way better.
2. The traffic lights look like cheap plastic.
3. Worst: The position of the two police cars trying to block the road changes depending on the perspective (0:11, 0:13, 0:19). This is IMNSHO a totally unnecessary mistake.

What I like most about this chase is the car @ 0:05 jumping on the road. Really nice. The overall scene @ 0:03 just looks amazing. The scene / camera angle @ 0:14 is really impressive (car slides with 10 cm distance).

This is so so so so good man....i wish i could make something like this...i have a fking potato laptop...it barely runs blender...still i am trying so much and learning blender without rendering assuming that there willl be a day where i will have a pc and i will be able to make use of my skills 😭🤣
