Korg’s new modwave synthesizer takes wavetable synthesis to strange new places. In this video we explore the process of building new sounds using the huge range of onboard wavetables and samples, then add movement via the quirky Kaoss physics section and wavestate inspired Motion Sequencing 2.0.

Nicely explained. I have seen many videos on ModWave, but yours is the most lucid. Thanks!

Great overview. I know they are different and I may be a bit of a philistine but the Modwave and Wavestate can sound quite similar. Dan Philips has explained the differences but...What's your take and if you could only have one which would it be and why? Sorry for the hard question 😱

Great review! By building your own Patch from scratch it doesnt sound too complicated after all! Question .. how would you synchronize this synth with a drum machine or other korg volcas?

Kind of sounds like the ms2000 in my opinion that's a good thing

Thanks for the overview. The Modwave seems to be the least interesting of the three.
