This month offers some good glimpses of the innermost planets in our solar system: Mercury and Venus. To see them, you'll have to go out right after sunset (for Mercury) and just before sunrise (for Venus).

This video shows you where to look to observe both Mercury and Venus and why we can only seen them during dusk and dawn.

I'm still baffled how incredibly bright Venus appears, I always feel like it wasn't so a decade ago (or course it was).

What is proportional for the INNER planets is proportional to the OUTER planets and for the orbit for earth is in "perfect" equilibrium

Ok i need somebody to understand what the hell I saw last year around this time. It was Venus right before sunset. Southern/ south western sky. Venus had a tail like a comet. Several of us saw it and it was only for 1 day. I did my research and found out venus has an odd interaction with the solar wind? Causing a tail like structure? Idk. I do know what I saw and it was amazing. Only thing ... I cant find a pic of this event. Someone must of seen this.

Actually, Mercury is not a planet but the moon to the planet Venus.
