Wearing a tie whilst skewering thine foes
Dressed to thy nines head to toes
A snazzy dresser has come to blows
A real killer in fanciest of clothes

This intellectual sword guy is the content we need. These shorts are perfect. Not a second wasted 👍

That backhand lunge thrust is used favorably in Kendo

Though I think the different (more squared) stance and footwork (lunge and land on right foot for balance) makes it work,
it can be executed extremely fast, almost unable to parry with sheer reaction if not already anticipated.

When parried, there is a risk, but practitioners usually run (yes, literally run) to safe zone to evade following attacks.
Again, different rules in Kendo may play a part here, but overall worth looking into

Best way to animate it as a desperate move
With a wounded and tired character pulling a sneaky one on the brazen enemy

Johnson, we've decided to discontinue the remote work program.

Our colleagues have watched you swordfighting in your backyard when you ought to be working on the Thompson account.

It's usually best to do these as a fast poke or swing while keeping outside of the opponent's reach. If the attack fails or succeeds you immediately retreat. It works for a quick point in a tournament, but in a real fight to the death it wouldn't really be worth it for a surface cut or small stab.

I find the one-handed lunge (with the back hand ofc) quite favourable, HOWEVER it requires very good timing and very stable footwork, so that you can catch the opponent on the backfoot and even if they manage to defend, they can't counterattack in time before you can step out of range.

I also find it better to execute the thrust at a very slight angle upwards so that your arm structure naturally somewhat counteracts the downward moment of the blade for the duration of the attack.

This and one-handed "swiping" cut on retreat are pretty popular "noob killers" around these parts, is it the same in the US?

One of my friends who I was watching this video with said “that’s like 6” compared to the entire blade, it can’t do that much” but it battle it can mean the difference between losing and winning

Mr. Swords, I have a question: what is the point of a two sided axe? I'll only ever use one side at a time and it just seems like it'd make the weapon heavier. I know this question isn't about swords but I didn't know if you were a swordologist or a weaponologist.

You might want to consult the Skywalker family concerning difficulties removing a hand 😂

the trick is to plan to be parried and be ready to disengage to recover both hands. still a gamble tho.

the reach gives time to avade if it fails, draw your sword back to you no matter the angle, grab it and reingage. i love this move, i always fuck up my friends, thay never know when i do it but thay know i will.
