UFC 186: Rampage Jackson Backstage Interview

UFC legend Rampage Jackson returned at UFC 186 and was victorious over Fabio Maldonado in the co-main event. Jackson spoke to UFC correspondent Megan Olivi backstage after the event.

From a boxing stand point, Rampage didn't have his feet under him. He was showing more variety in his strikes, combinations and movement. But he was was rarely planted and digging in with his shots. That solid base is where the power is generated. Maldonado has an insane chin at 205, but I still think Rampage could have done more damage. I'm no expert....just my observation. Much respect to both warriors.

Damn so many people are hating lol rampage showed a hell of a lot of improvement in his striking and he was the only one really trying to fight it seems...all Fabio did was just lean on him on the cage and get that sloppy ass takedown.

Rampage needs to understand this is MMA takedown defense is apart of the game. 
If you dont want to get taken down go to K-1 or try boxing. 
Otherwise stop complaining.

rampage looked washed up to me. he didnt look as fast or powerful as before. he showed more diversity in his strikes but he still looked washed up in his movements. his punching power doesnt seem to be there anymore either. i mean miocic cant hit much harder than rampage and he took fabio out easily. old rampage wouldve knocked fabio out in the first round maybe the second at the very most.

Pathetic performance by Rampage as expected, acting like Fabio was Jon Jones or something post fight

Fabio was there to get knocked out and Rampage couldn't even do it

He old n has too much muscle, no speed equals no power. Fabio is tough but rampage needs to be real, he just doesnt have it anymore. If he lost 15 pounds he might get some hand speed but he is just too bulky in his shoulders n arms
