Unpopular opinion, I think you should return to Southern California coast. You were so light and open during your cottage bungalow near the beach

Elena, I love your videos a lot - They helps me enjoy my single life which can feel like a burden at times - but then make me remember why I am single in the first place and how I still find joy and happiness in everyday things. Thank you!!!

Have you considering trying out somewhere in Europe with more sun? You seemed pretty happy in Portugal and on the French coastline... Also would you consider doing more storytelling/ journalism pieces and reaching out more into that with collaborations? This isn't for the viewers POV but I really think your travel videos such as the hikes and history with your sister feel like your best work. I would love to see your video production in a full documentary series with other creators involved.

I have been here a while and I am enjoying the journey. You are doing an amazing job with your videos, Elena. Don't worry about it too much.

i JUST finished reading The Women by Kristin Hannah today and it left me staring at the wall afterwards - SO GOOD. It's also about the Vietnam War so I'd say really fitting for your trip to Vietnam!

I just discovered your channel. At first, I thought you left Paris for good, which made me sad, even though I don't know you. I was pleased to know you are returning to a new apartment in Paris after visiting NYC. Enjoy your travels!

Book recommendation - I think you would really like A Tree Grows In Brooklyn by Betty Smith! It's a semi-autobiographical coming of age story about a young girl living in the Brooklyn tenements in the early 20th century. It covers themes of poverty, the American Dream, education, and resilience. One of my favourite reads in the last few years!

Book recommendations:
MOSHI MOSHI by Banana Yoshimoto, BUDDHA IN THE ATTIC by Julie Otsuka, GOOD MORNING MIDNIGHT by Jean Rhys (all three fiction)

THE MURDER OF HELEN JEWETT by Patricia Cline Cohen, A MIDWIFE'S TALE by Laurel Thatcher Ulrich (history)

H IS FOR HAWK and VESPER FLIGHTS, both by Helen Macdonald, for nature-focused nonfiction that is so beautifully written

Hi Elena! I would love to see a video where you go in depth about how you find places to live as an American abroad because I would love to do it, but it seems so intimidating. Any tips or tricks on how to do it especially without eu citizenship. Anyways love all the content!! so aesthetic!

Almost a decade older than you and living in NYC, but still really enjoy your content and find inspiration in all that you do ❤

For Books I can totally recommend: What you are looking for is in the library from Michiko Aoyama. I LOVED that book so

Since you requested some books recommendations: Jeanine Cummins-American dirt; Fernanda Melchor-Hurricane season; Nathan Hills-Wellness. I am currently reading Rebecca James-The woman in the mirror: it seems to be a very catchy gothic novel.

As for book Recommendations:
I am still unpacking and assimilating from March:
📚The Right Kind of Wrong by Amy C Edmondson
📚Nexus by Yuval Noah Harari
and the Reading Tides are making all the intertextual connections with the April WYNC/NYPL Get Lit With all of it Selection:
📚The Dream Hotel by Laila Lalami
There is a fascinating discussion about Negative Facts [Think Sherlock level cogitating upon The Negative Space like in Betty Edwards]; Infallibly; Perfection; Error Correction; Fixed and Growth Mindsets; Bureaucracy; Social Credit System; Database Curation; and I am regretting I didn’t read Freud’s Dream Psychology before this book.
