This week’s recipe is a great snack for Super Bowl Sunday! They are cheap, easy, and a punch of flavor. I like to use the mini saltines if I can find them, but the normal size saltines work as well, but they don’t come out quite as good (the texture isn’t as crunchy as the mini saltines and they break easier). You can adjust the level of spice by adding more or less cayenne, but I’d start with 2 tsp and add more from there. I find 3 tsp to be a great level for most of us Louisianians, but even going for a full Tablespoon is great to me (I love the spice). You’ve gotta be careful though because these crackers are super addicting! C’est bon!

Today’s featured artist is one of my favorite Swamp Pop artists: Van Broussard. He passed away just eauxver 2 years ago, but is an absolute legend in Louisiana. His song “Record Machine” is my favorite Swamp Pop song and one of my favorite songs in general. “Feed the Flame,” today’s featured song, is a song that I always think of around Valentine’s Day, and it’s so hard not to sing along to it. The chorus just draws me in!
