Good on her. A big reason women are paid less than men is they can be too agreeable. Disagreeableness is the way to gender pay equality. Not moaning that you're not being paid enough.

Considering Anderson routinely acts Duchovny under the table, and did throughout the entire run of 'The X Files', which she also stuck with through to the end when DD eased off in Season 8 & 9, she deserves nothing less than equal pay. Sad to think when they came to do the event series she was still getting offered half of Duchovny's fee.

But if they can offer less and you're stupid enough to take it... I don't see the problem there. Of course they want it all as cheap as possible. She did start there from nothing, so it's normal she got less in the beginning. It's completely up to her to try and get more meoney. They shouldn't be offended if they offer less the first time around. It would only be horrible if they didn't agree to pay her equally for the same work...

Well makes sense he gets paid more; he has had numerous hit shows and a larger following. And I can't name a single big tv series, or film, or movie, that Gillian has starred in besides X-Files. She's never booked a big project as a leading role; she is not bankable. She has less experience; instead of being angry that David got more, she should prove why she should get more; give factual reasons; a resume that proves it's worth the money. 'Cause unless you a following fan of hers; good luck even naming a project she was in as a leading actor in a world release project that people will associate with her name besides xfiles.
