Subtraction Across Zeroes - Borrow from the Neighborhood

As a third grade teacher I have watched students struggle for years trying borrow across tens, because there are so many rules and cross-outs and numbers to change.

Years ago I created an easier way to regroup across zeroes and my students LOVE it! Borrow from the neighborhood.

It wasn't until this year I realized I can share it with more than just the students I teach in my classes. Let me know if you find this helpful.
