Every potty training video I watch doesn't seem to apply to my child. She is almost 3 and she is fully talking and very smart. She potty trained in 2 days, and did amazing for months. Now she has simply decided she doesn't want to use the potty anymore when she pees. It's like she has gotten lazy. She knows better, and she knows what she is doing. No life events have occurred, nothing has changed, she is just choosing to regress. How do I navigate this?

Started potty training about 6 weeks ago. My twins have been doing really well, we can go out and they can tell me when they need to go. This week we started full day daycare and oh my goodness 😳. I can't even prompt them without it causing meltdowns. They are now telling me they don't want to go peepee after weeks of it not being a big deal. We are bummed to say the least.

Your book was paramount to potty training my children! Thank you for the resources!!!! My 5yo has been trained for 3 years but when school started she wet the bet for two weeks straight (used to rarely happen!). Is that regression? We are now going back to the block and waking her and trying to figure out when it is. Thank you!

I started potty training my 21 month old son 3 weeks ago. Your book was a tremendous help (guide). We were doing good with pee, just some accidents and withholding poop but just daily (and I bought a course for that).
But 3 days ago we started to experience what it looks like regression. He’s peeing everywhere, refusing to sit on a potty, getting stiff and pee a minute later. There is no major events in our life at the moment.. so I’m not sure if it could be poop blockage (however he doesn’t necessarily looks surprised). Not sure if I should try Mylax or go straight back to block one (but it’s hard when he’s refusing to sit).

Hi Jamie, I read your book and we were very successful with potty training my daughter . She has been fully trained for almost a year. I just had my second in November, and my first is now really resisting going potty. She never has accidents, goes through the night but today she even said she doesn’t want to drink because it’ll make her go potty. I’m completely stumped and terrified she’ll get a uti which she has before. We’ve tried rewards, we’ve tried ignoring snd waiting but that lasts hours and hours. Please help!

My 4yo has been potty trained during the day for almost two years and sleep potty trained for months. It sounds like she’s been going through what you described as “cluster accidents” except it’s been years of good pottying. Not weeks. (UTI test was clear). Is it still just cluster accidents?

My son was potty trained for about a month and he would tell me and all but when we have company he doesn’t go to the potty or tell me at all and the next day is all accidents. Now his accidents didn’t stop. He just doesn’t go or tell me and when I prompt him he throws him self on the floor and says no

Thank you for sharing. Our son was holding his pee through the night, but since preschool started (three hours every morning M-F), he is wetting the bed. It seems like he is sleeping more deeply? Please - any advice is helpful!

By the way, I own your book in physical and audible form 😊 and it has helped us so much!

Really need your advice. My son shares custody of his 2 1/2 year-old daughter. Mom refuses to help with potty training when their daughter is with her. My son had great sucess initially, but now she refuses to even sit on the potty. Her daycare has also started potty training, but mom keeps her in diapers. How do we navigate this situation?

I know you said going at daycare isn’t regression but what if she’s been completely potty trained for 9 months. We don’t even buy diapers anymore. She started daycare and now it’s accidents 3-4 times a day at daycare AND at home?

My 4 1/2 was fully potty trained with some ocasional accidents at night now she’s pee in her pants often but little bit enough to get wet, Dr. says that might be behavior.

Hi Jamie! I have read and used your book and really appreciate and value your opinion! We used the method with our 24 month old who is now 25.5 months . She is still having an accident a day usually and it does still take effort on our part. She’s super smart and a quick learner and loves to be independent . She cannot get her pants down on her own in the heat of the moment. And sometimes I wonder if that brings Her into F it mode once in awhile. She recently had 2 random days with a lot of pee accidents. One day with the sitter and the other day with me . She can verbalize she has to go pee or poop well. But sometimes she just doesn’t and I can tell it’s typically not happening by surprise. Should we start over from the beginning ? She does very well naked when she can do this entirely on her own . No issues with poop. And a good amount of time she verbalizes she needs to pee and we help her with her pants . But I feel like we shouldn’t be having these accidents anymore either . We still prompt when she hasn’t gone in awhile to try to avoid it .
