Today we have South Coast Welding Academy's new instructor Herman Perez doing some TIG welding on a socket flange! lets get to it.

Don’t assume you can just use 309 on a Carbon follow the WPS on production welds. Good hand work though !👍

How long did you let it cool between passes? Particularly before the cap.

This might be a dumb question but I thought you had to purge when going stainless to carbon though the stainless is only a filler...

Nice job, can you do a tutorial or show some tricks how to weld 100mm pipe with 1mm wall in the 5 g and horizontal position, cup, amps,wire and all that
