my very close friend passed away last month due to his long battle of cancer. he loved choir. we decided to sing this as a final piece next concert to dedicate it to him and two others we lost. i can barely get out the notes before disappearing into a puddle of tears. this piece is beautiful. <3

we had a school shooting scare in january, we didn’t know if we were going to live through it and the only adult watching over 100 students (we were at lunch and we just picked a room to go to) was screaming “you’re all gonna die!” and i was crying a lot. this song calmed me down so much and helped me through it and it continues to help me. my class was heavily affected by it, so our chorus teacher let us sing this that day and had a long talk with us. sometimes the littlest things make the biggest difference
