You know why we are quiet ?

Because we are very unsure of ourself
Every day is filled with doubts and overthinking
We constantly question ourselfs if its right what we are doing
We just rarely find out what dreams we have
We are not very sociable because we overthink and come to the clue nobody would like us (sometimes its not right)
The most times we are depressed and just want someone to talk
We feel constantly judged by everyone around
We are very anxious with socialization
We are often just very lonely and sad people
When we say "iwant to be alone" believe me : we need someone to talk to more the ever
We spend hours of our days crying or just being sad and emotionless
We say things we later regret more then others
We do things we are not proud of for no reason

Please if you read this and there is a quiet kid you know ... just ... talk to him

As a quiet kid, I can confirm that it's true. We are kind if you just talk to us. But for me, I have severe anxiety so I usually have to prepare myself before I go to school and keep saying. “Keep to yourself, don't do anything weird you'll get looks. Don't get friends, they'll lose interest in you. Just keep to yourself.” Even doing that people still bully to this day for no reason. But I'm fine lol.

All jokes aside, all the quiet kid memes just end up leading to more harassment to people that are already struggling socially. You'd be surprised how often people actually call them school shooters, and I doubt anyone wants to be associated with something horrible like that.

It's just more bullying.

I'm the quiet kid.

I suffer from social anxiety, I can barely talk with people and I'm really emotive.

I'll tell you the reality of being the quiet kid :

"Speak louder"
"Repeat"
"Stop stuttering! It's annoying!"
"It's not hard to talk, attention seeker!"
"You're so dumb, you never talk!"
"Are you even listening to me?"

The worst part is that there's a reason why I don't talk.
There's a reason why I can't talk.
I'm scared.

If you ever see a “quite kid” go talk to them. It makes a world of a difference. Just a little “hi” can make their day better. Thankfully in the first half of middle school, a child used to approach me and talk to me. He slowly pulled me out of possible depression. It was thanks to him that I was slowly able to open up to others.

As someone who is a friend of a quiet kid they're actually pretty fun to hang out with, my friend told me that the reason she's always quiet is " I don't wanna talk to people that isn't interesting" so I feel special :DD
some of the teachers even said I built her confidence which made me really happy even tho I haven't done anything other than being a supportive best friend

Edit: if your wondering if me and my friend are still friends, actually yes! Also yes I'm the loud kid, we also met during kindergarten then she transferred to another school at 3rd grade we didn't met each other for a long time after I graduated grade 6 I transferred and at grade 7 we became classmates again now I'm grade 10 still classmates we are currently planning to take the same course in the future :DD

We all take pain differently, which is why we should be kind to each other so no one gets pushed over the edge. I used to be the quiet kid, I just ended up hating myself more than how much I hated the world
